Purim celebrations/Reuven Castro
The Ministry of Education today (Sunday) instructed the teaching staff in the schools regarding the nature of celebrating the holiday of Purim in the educational frameworks, and not to allow the arrival of students in costumes that could cause panic, fear or vulnerability in others in accordance with the security reality and the characteristics of the current period.
The ministry recommended that administrators and teachers hold a dialogue with the students and parents about how to properly celebrate the holiday, and encourage them to take part in the joy of the holiday, in a manner and style that is right for them, out of respect and recognition of the worry or sadness they are experiencing.
During the next few days, the educational teams will have a discussion with the students about the costume they intend to choose, with the aim of thinking together with them how to choose a costume that will give them a creative and happy personal expression, without endangering the costumers and their environment.

As part of the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Education, they added that a student who arrives at school or kindergarten in a costume that may threaten and sow fear or hurt the feelings of others - will be asked, in coordination with his parents, to change the costume.
The educational institutions will inform the public of parents and students in the school or kindergarten about this in advance.
