Rodolfo De Paoli
will stop being the coach of
Independiente Rivadavia de Mendoza
after just seven games in office.
After the 4-1 defeat suffered last night in Santa Fe against Unión, the coach suspended the press conference and informed the players of his decision to step aside, club sources reported.
De Paoli's departure will be made official in the next few hours by the "Leprosy" leadership.
De Paoli leaves office after just seven games coached: five losses, the last four in a row, and two wins.
The soccer reporter and former coach of Barracas Central and Patronato debuted with a loss against Independiente (1-0) in Mendoza, but then beat Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata (3-2) as a visitor and Huracán (2-0) in home.
They later lost the four remaining games: 1-0 against Rosario Central, 2-0 against Instituto, 2-1 against Argentinos Juniors and 4-1 with Unión.
De Paoli had taken over at the end of last year, replacing Alfredo Berti, who stepped aside after the historic promotion to the First Division.
The team will be temporarily in charge of Claudio del Bosco, current coordinator of the lower divisions, who will surely direct the match next Thursday at 9:15 p.m. against Barracas Central for the eighth date of Zone A of the Professional League Cup.
