The
body of a man appeared floating
this Sunday morning in the Riachuelo.
A group of tourists saw the body while walking through the Caminito area in the
La
Boca
neighborhood , and called 911.
The macabre discovery occurred after 8:30, at the intersection of Pedro de Mendoza and Puerto de Palos, where experts from the City Police are working at the scene.
The first versions indicate that it is the body of an adult man who was found floating,
face down and away from the shore
.
City firefighters and SAME are also working in the area, while the Naval Prefecture was notified of the discovery.
"We were with a group of tourists on a tour of La Boca when we saw the body floating in the Riachuelo. It was after 8:30 in the morning," confirmed Mariela, coordinator of the tour group.
In a conversation with the A24 channel, the woman was not surprised by the discovery: "This is part of the tour of Buenos Aires, it is what usually happens here. There are deaths every day due to insecurity," she said during the interview.
"Initially a woman from the group saw it who called me so I could also see if it was a body. And yes, it was a man's body. We automatically called 911 to notify the Police," the woman reported.
The coordinator confirmed in the television dialogue that it was a man "about 45 or 50 years old" and that he was wearing "a navy blue sweater or T-shirt with white stripes."
"Now we have to stay to testify with the City Police," Mariela said.
