The press previews of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the European technology fair, are starting.
Among the companies present is Honor, which revealed its new smartphones and computers focused on artificial intelligence.
These are the Magic 6 Pro and the MagicBook Pro 16. "We think that AI should be an open ecosystem and that is why Honor will embrace the future of this technology by collaborating with Gogole, Microsoft, Nvidia, Qualcomm and Intel, to ensure that the sector continues to innovate but with rules and ethics" the words of Mr George Zhao, CEO of Honor.
For the Magic 6 Pro Honor talks about improvements in terms of photography, display, performance and modes of use based on AI.
There are two particularities: Magic Capsule and MagicPortal.
The first concerns the possibility of interacting with the app thanks to the information on the upper part of the display, a bit like what happens with the dynamic island of the iPhone.
Portals instead uses artificial intelligence to understand messaging and user behavior, to suggest and anticipate needs.
It can, for example, recognize addresses in a text message and automatically open Google Maps.
Through collaboration with partners and app developers, Magic Portal supports over 100 applications globally.
Honor also collaborated with Qualcomm, the developer of Snapdragon semiconductors, to bring the large language model LLaMA 2 into the Magic 6Pro.
In this way, the smartphone can create texts, images and answer many questions without constantly turning to the internet.
The camera is based on the Falcon Camera System, powered by an AI model trained with a database 28 times larger than the previous generation.
Together with the MagicBook Pro 16 notebook, which automatically synchronizes contents between PC and mobile phone with Magic Ring, Honor also launched the Pad 9 tablet and the Porsche Design Honor Magic 6 Rsr, a mobile phone inspired by the automotive brand.
