Munich - Tricksters have struck again in Munich: According to a police report, a previously unknown man appeared on the property of an over 80-year-old woman in Grünwald on Thursday (February 22) and posed as an employee of a plumbing company.
The lady let him in under the pretext that he had to check the water pressure in the house.
While the perpetrator distracted the elderly woman and her husband, who is also over 80, a second perpetrator entered the property unnoticed.
He stole jewelry worth several thousand euros from the bedroom.

Call for witnesses: The Munich police are looking for the perpetrators
By chance, a neighbor saw two men leaving the senior citizen's house at the time of the crime.
The police have taken over the investigation and are now looking for the perpetrators: One is around 30 years old, around 1.70 meters tall, has a strong build, short hair and a three-day beard.
He was wearing olive-colored work pants with red stitching, a black fleece jacket and dark shoes.
The second perpetrator is around 1.85 meters tall, slim and has a dark, full beard.
He was wearing a black wool hat, dark trousers, black gloves and a black jacket.

Anyone who has noticed something in the area of Südliche Münchner Straße, Ludwig-Thoma-Straße and Forstweg in Grünwald and can provide information is asked to contact the police on 089/29100.
The police also warn against allowing alleged heating technicians, electricity meters, plumbers or similar people into the apartment if it is not known that a corresponding consumer meter is planned for the residential property.
