The Spanish city of Valencia (east) remains immersed in pain
from the tragedy with ten dead
in the fire of a residential building, while trying to return to normality on the third day of official mourning.
Early this Sunday, municipal workers
continued the tasks of removing ash and burned waste
and were the only ones who broke the silence in an area where the smell of burning could still be perceived after the fire that destroyed a fourteen-story building on Thursday. floors with 138 homes, which is still standing burnt out.
The firefighters also continue their work inside the building, while the scientific police advance their investigation, under summary secrecy.
The Institute of Legal Medicine continues
to identify the bodies of the deceased,
awaiting the results of DNA analysis and in some cases anthropological studies, before authorizing the delivery of the mortal remains to relatives.

The fire,
which in just one hour burned the building and another annex
, also caused fifteen people to be injured, more than half of them firefighters, of whom only one remains hospitalized without fear for his life.
The investigation
During a minute of silence for the victims, the neighbors pointed out that they are living "a bad dream" from which they will have a hard time waking up, without letting go of their grief and recounting their different situations.
The official mourning for the victims, which ends at noon local time on Monday, includes the
suspension of all events leading up to the internationally famous Fallas festival
in the eastern Spanish city of about 800,000 inhabitants.
The building devastated in the fire
had an insurance policy for around 26.5 million euros
in terms of the building and another 31 million for the community furniture, according to the policy to which EFE had access.
The Spanish Ministry of Science has requested a study from a Madrid institute specialized in building to investigate
what happened in a fire that was impossible to stop
and determine whether factors such as the material used in the façade of the building, built between 2005 and 2007, had an influence. .
The people who lived in the building, many of them in hotels in the city, are waiting to be able to access a property with 131 homes acquired by the City Council and which will be made available to them.
