The police opened an investigation after a number of Knesset members from the Likud found threatening letters in their mailboxes, including Tali Gottlieb Eli Dellal, Eliyahu Rabivo, Moshe Saada and several members of their families.
The letter sent to Gottlieb, Dellal, Rabivo and Saada's brother is addressed by the group called "The Israeli Avengers".
Gottlieb, the latest to receive a threat from the "Israeli Avengers", revealed the letter she found in her mailbox.
"Following the events of October 7, 2024, we hereby consider the members of the government and the members of the coalition responsible for the genocide and the massacre they committed against us," the senders of the letter threatened.
"We will carry out retaliatory actions against the coalition members, whether they serve in office or whether they change or retire from political life. There will be significant damage to them and their families, which will be planned and carried out within a few months if the coalition member continues to serve in his position and support the government."
The Knesset responded: "The issue was brought to the attention of the Knesset officer and was forwarded to the relevant authorities, including the Israel Police.
The speaker of the Knesset sees this threat as serious and is working with the commissioner and the head of the Shin Bet on the matter."

It should be noted that in any case of threats, the Knesset officer works with the police or the Shin Bet, if necessary. This was also the case in this case.
The police announced that they have opened an investigation into the cases: "We take very seriously any threat of physical harm to elected officials in general.
For obvious reasons, we do not usually refer to the threat levels set for a person, or the security basket associated with them.
As far as those who are threatened regardless of this case or another, the Israel Police conducts a special situation assessment from time to time while assessing risks to examine the level of threat and determine a required security basket for elected officials and public servants who are threatened."
About six months ago, an indictment was filed against a 53-year-old resident of Ramat Hasharon, for threats and the harassment of Knesset members, ministers, the supervisor of the banks, the head of the Securities Authority and a journalist. According to the indictment, between February and May 2023, the accused's son called minister David Amsalem 22 times and wrote to him on WhatsApp: "You will answer me again, you Bibi slut.
I will personally pull out your hair and light it in the fire of Omer. You will be burned at the stake today I will make Islam."
On another occasion, he called Amsalem from an unknown number and threatened to kill him.
