- According to its own information, the IHK for Munich and Upper Bavaria registered 336 new training contracts in the Ebersberg district last year, an increase of 18.3 percent compared to 2022. "This is good news for our business location - especially in times of increasing labor shortages." , explains Sonja Ziegltrum, chairwoman of the Ebersberg IHK regional committee.
“The companies are pulling out all the stops to secure the next generation of skilled workers and workers and to train the next generation in their own company,” says Ziegltrum.
The huge range of training places on offer shows that companies' willingness to provide training remains high.
Unfortunately, the demographically low number of students means that more and more companies are left empty-handed when looking for young talent.
These are the most popular apprenticeships
The most popular IHK training occupation in the Ebersberg district was the profession of wholesale and foreign trade management clerks, with almost 50 training contracts in 2023, followed by office management clerks and retail clerks.
In total there are more than 200 different IHK professions in which training can be completed.
The IT specialist is also becoming increasingly popular in the Ebersberg district.
Over 100 apprenticeship positions remained unfilled in 2023
According to an evaluation by the employment agency, around 110 apprenticeship positions remained unfilled at IHK member companies in the Ebersberg district in 2023, meaning around one in five offers registered with the employment agency.
Around 60 percent of all dual vocational training contracts in Upper Bavaria are concluded in the IHK sector, i.e. in industry, trade and the service sector.
In the Ebersberg district there were more than 200 active IHK training companies last year.
