Ukraine has been defending itself against Russian attacks for two years.
According to Ukrainian President Zelensky, a total of around 31,000 soldiers died.
Kiev - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyj has stated the number of soldiers in his armed forces killed so far as a result of Russia's war of aggression at 31,000.
The number cited by Zelensky at a press conference on Sunday is the first official mention of military casualties in the two-year-old war against the Russian invaders.
