According to a statement from Lotto Bayern on Monday, February 26th, the pensioner found out about her luck at a lottery acceptance point.
However, she only realized the full impact of the win after her partner checked the odds at home.
A Franconian woman can now enjoy her retirement life: she won almost 50 million euros in the lottery (symbolic image).

“It was good that I was already sitting,” the pensioner was quoted as saying in the statement about the moment of realization.
She has been entering the winning numbers from the drawing on January 3rd on the ticket for years.
This was a promise to her late partner.
“With the winnings I can now enjoy my retired life,” she added.
