There was an alarm on board an ICE on Saturday.

The travelers were evacuated at Siegelsdorf train station in Middle Franconia.

Siegelsdorf - A Deutsche Bahn ICE train was evacuated in Middle Franconia due to a gas leak.

The train with around 250 passengers on board came to a standstill at Siegelsdorf station after an alarm, according to a federal police spokeswoman on Monday, February 26th.

Saturday's incident was caused by an improperly replaced CO2 cylinder in the onboard restaurant.

Siegelsdorf in Veitsbronn: ICE evacuated due to gas leak

A large fire brigade was sent to the train station in a district of Veitsbronn in the Fürth district.

After about an hour, the passengers were able to continue their journey.

There were no injuries.
