After months of speculation,
Ryan Gosling
will officially perform
I'm Just Ken
live at the Oscars.
Sources tell
Variety that the actor will sing
Barbie
's Academy Award-nominated song
during the 96th annual ceremony on March 10.
The Academy declined to comment.
Whether he would agree to show off his singing skills on the Oscar stage has been a big question since both Gosling and the song earned nominations in January.
In a Variety

in early February, Gosling insisted that the Academy had not yet asked him to act.
"Maybe it's too risky for me to do it," said

Mark Ronson, who wrote the song with Andrew Wyatt, told
Variety
at the Grammys that his dream was for Gosling to perform at the Academy Awards.
When asked if he would possibly fill in for another singer if Gosling didn't want to perform

live at the Oscars, Ronson said, "No. I think if Ryan doesn't do it, then we won't do it."
