A 63-year-old woman passed under the wheels of the vehicle this Monday without the driver realizing it. It was passers-by who got it


Dramatic scene on Boulevard Jean-Allemane, in Argenteuil (Val-d'Oise).

A traffic accident occurred this Monday around noon.

A 63-year-old woman died after being run over by a heavy goods vehicle.

The Val-d'Oise firefighters and the Argenteuil Smur were unable to revive the victim.

The Smur doctor declared the death during the intervention which lasted more than 3 hours.

The scene occurred not very far from the Monoprix store.

The sixty-year-old was alone and probably had to cross the road.

The investigation is still ongoing, but it appears at this stage that the driver of the truck did not see this pedestrian.

These were witnesses who hailed it when it passed under its wheels.

That's when he would have realized something bad had happened.

The driver negative for alcohol and drugs

He stopped his vehicle then reversed to remove the body.

A caregiver who passed near the accident site attempted to perform first aid.

His drug and alcohol tests came back negative.

Shocked, he was transported by emergency services to Argenteuil hospital.
