There was a large-scale police operation in Vienna-Brigittenau on Friday evening (February 23rd).
The reason: Three women were found with fatal cuts and stab wounds in a brothel in the city's red light district.
A 27-year-old was arrested as the main suspect.

According to statements from the Vienna State Police Directorate, the suspect is an asylum seeker from Afghanistan.
The man is said to have applied for asylum in Austria in 2022.

The police found the suspect in a nearby green area and was incapacitated with a teaser, the report continues.
He is said to have been carrying a knife, presumably the murder weapon.
According to police spokesman Philipp Haßlinger, the 27-year-old behaved very aggressively.
