The Federal Foreign Minister had to cancel her visit to a waterworks in Mykolaiv, southern Ukraine, because a Russian reconnaissance drone was discovered in the sky.

A spokesman for the Foreign Office announced this on Sunday (February 25) on the sidelines of the Foreign Minister's trip.
The delegation members had previously been asked to quickly return to the armored vehicles of Baerbock's column.
“The visit to the waterworks had to be canceled early for safety reasons,” explained the spokesman.

The Russian army had massively targeted the civilian infrastructure - waterworks, administrative buildings and electricity plants - in Mykolaiv, which is just 50 kilometers from the front.
The people in the city not far from the Black Sea, which currently has around 350,000 inhabitants, usually have to be supplied by tankers because the fighting often means there is no longer any clean drinking water.
