Agriculture Minister Cem Özdemir (Greens) is taking part in the meeting on behalf of the federal government.

The ministers are to discuss proposals from the EU Commission that would simplify the rules within the framework of the EU's Common Agricultural Policy (CAP).

Among other things, the administrative effort should be reduced.

Green Party Minister Özdemir warns of violence in farmers' protests

Green Agriculture Minister Özdemir called on the farmers' associations in advance to take stronger action against radical forces during demonstrations.
