Until now, the PS campaign for the European elections was unusual.
At the beginning of February, the Rose Party had renewed Raphaël Glucksmann as candidate by a vote, even though negotiations on the rest of the list were still underway with Place publique, the small formation of the outgoing MEP.
Faced with this oddity, a few eyebrows were raised internally.
“We had the impression of having put the cart before the horse
,” whispers one executive.
This upstream validation in fact made it possible to place Raphaël Glucksmann in a chair to carry out these negotiations.
What was not missed: the agreement, sealed early Saturday evening, is very favorable for Place publique.
The outgoing MEP obtained three places considered eligible for his own because they were in the first ten of the list.
