The two men were arrested three days before in Perpignan and 405 kilograms of cannabis resin were seized by the police.

On November 15, a 23-year-old man, linked to this same trafficking, was indicted and then placed in pre-trial detention.

During a customs check three days earlier, customs had discovered 291 kg of cannabis resin in his vehicle.

It was through his arrest that investigators were able to trace the two other suspects.

In total, nearly 700 kilograms of cannabis resin were seized by customs services.

Vehicle set on fire

This 23-year-old young man from Perpignan was arrested on November 12 during a road check at the Toulouse Nord tollbooth on the A20 motorway.

The man refused to comply and even decided to set his vehicle on fire.

However, the flames did not have time to destroy the 291 kg of cannabis resin, then seized by customs officers.

The investigation was then continued by the Toulouse Anti-Narcotics Office (OFAST) detachment and a judicial investigation was opened.

Thanks to the investigations carried out by the teams from Toulouse and Perpignan, the police got their hands on the two other individuals linked to this drug trafficking.

Criminal record

The two men were arrested on February 20 in Perpignan

"while they formed a convoy of two vehicles coming from Spain and bound for Bordeaux"

One has already been convicted for similar acts and the second was under judicial supervision
