The mini-district on Jahnstrasse has started sales.

Using wood, straw and clay, it shows the direction of sustainable construction.

Geretsried

– After a few months of delay, the time has now come: Sales for the innovative mini-district at Jahnstrasse 78 have begun.

As reported, five terraced houses and two semi-detached houses are to be built there with ecological considerations in mind.

Bavaria's largest residential building project made of wood, straw and clay

“After two years of intensive planning, Alinea is Bavaria’s largest residential building project made of wood, straw and clay,” says a statement from the Munich-based company NALEWO, which developed the project.

Over 500 experts digitally looked over the team's shoulder during planning and helped to further optimize Alinea.

Alinea is more than just a housing project.

“It is a clear commitment to an ecologically responsible future.” It symbolizes the pioneering spirit of sustainable change in the construction industry.

The award from the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) and the positive response from society “are clear evidence that the time is ripe for change in the construction industry,” the statement continues.

Living areas are between 126 and 152 square meters

The living space of the houses is between 126 and 152 square meters, and the floor plans are open and adaptable.

The purchase price has since been adjusted slightly upwards and is between a good one and one and a half million euros.

You are eligible for funding from the Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW).

The houses are expected to be ready for occupancy in the first quarter of 2025.

The buildings are special because they consist of a wood-straw-clay construction.

If they were to be dismantled, clay and waste wood could be reused, NALEWO managing director Daniel Schmitt-Haverkamp explained in an interview with our newspaper in June 2023.

The straw rots.

Another special feature is the large communal area, which the future residents will help develop, the builder announced.

Nevertheless, there should also be a separate terrace for each house.
