50 years of Roland Kaiser – an anniversary that was celebrated with a spectacular show.
But not everything that happened on the recording days was shown on TV.
Offenburg – Roland Kaiser (71) has been on stage for over half a century.
And with mega success.
His hit birthday was honored with a grandiose party, moderated and accompanied by Giovanni Zarrella (45).

What few viewers knew is that the show was actually recorded back in December.
When asked by IPPEN.MEDIA,
ZDF has already explained why “Giovanni Zarrella presents: 50 years of Roland Kaiser” was not shown as a live broadcast
.
At the time of the TV broadcast, the two big stars were completely somewhere else: Roland Kaiser is currently on a 111-day cruise with his wife Silvia (58) and Giovanni Zarrella was playing at the Semperopernball in Dresden.
Roland Kaiser's anniversary show, which was recorded on December 15th and 16th, 2023, achieved impressive ratings.
Interestingly, not all scenes made it into the final ZDF broadcast.
Some mishaps and funny moments were edited out of the recording in advance.

He then tried to record some announcements for Swiss television - but these were interrupted by calls from a hardcore fan.
Giovanni explained patiently: “If you scream like that, we can’t do the recitals.”

He also failed on the second and third attempts due to the troublemaker's enthusiasm.
Giovanni turned to the loud fan: “I would need someone like you at home when I do something great.
'Honey, the dishwasher has been emptied - Woaaahhh'”.
The audience burst into laughter and the performer was finally able to be recorded.
The hit evening was a great success for ZDF, although some TV viewers discussed the Roland Kaiser special afterwards.
