The new consultative questionnaire for updating the Pniec, the National Integrated Energy and Climate Plan, is online on the website of the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security.

The consultation, carried out by Mase with the support of the Energy Services Manager, will remain open until 31 March and is aimed at institutions, private individuals, associations and stakeholders.

The text identifies twenty-one questions on the different themes of the Pniec: ranging from a general evaluation of the proposed Plan presented in June 2023, to the identification of tools for efficiency and reduction of emissions in the building, transport and agriculture sectors.

Among the other topics covered by the consultation are renewables, hydrogen, biomethane, energy security, actions for markets and consumers, "Just Transition", environmentally harmful subsidies and the "Carbon CaptureStorage" supply chain.

"From this consultation - states Minister Gilberto Pichetto - we expect an active contribution, in the direction we set ourselves from the first moment of making this instrument ambitious but realistic".

The definitive updated version of the Plan is expected to be sent to the European Commission by 30 June and will take into account the orientations that emerged in the questionnaire, which is part of an information, participation and sharing process at various levels and which also includes consultation tools on more structured texts, such as the Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) and institutional channels such as the Unified Conference.
