During the night from Sunday to Monday, around midnight, a man was arrested near the Élysée Palace when he said he had come to speak to the President of the Republic, Le Parisien learned - just like the site Actu17 - from police sources.

Wearing an electronic bracelet and under judicial supervision, the man had left Angers (Maine-et-Loire), where he lives, by car earlier in the day to appear before Emmanuel Macron.

Considered to have escaped by the police - the electronic bracelet is a house arrest - he was in possession, in his vehicle, of a jerry can of gasoline and a gas bottle, both empty according to him, as well as battery cables.

This required the intervention of specialists from the Central Laboratory to resolve any doubts.

According to what this man explained, he wanted to go to the Élysée Palace to ask to meet the President of the Republic in order to personally make revelations to him as a “prophet”, indicates a source close to the case.

A priori non-alcoholic, according to this same source, he spontaneously explained that he did not have the right to be here, nor even to leave Angers, which the police were able to confirm with the court. from Angers.
