Pushed from the escalator and attacked: Young people attack travelers at Munich Central Station

Highlights: Three teenagers attacked two travelers on Sunday night (February 25). Both were injured in the attack and two of the suspected perpetrators are on the run. The attackers kicked the man who was lying on the ground at Munich Central Station. A 16-year-old German citizen from the Freising district was temporarily arrested as a suspect on the cross platform. The investigation into the two other people involved and the exact course of the crime is ongoing. The woman also suffered minor injuries to her legs when she fell on the escalator.

Three teenagers attacked two travelers on Sunday night (February 25).

Both were injured in the attack and two of the suspected perpetrators are on the run.

Munich - The Federal Police received an emergency call around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday night about a physical altercation on the S-Bahn platform at Munich Central Station.

According to police reports, there was already an argument between the two parties on a train from Nuremberg to Munich.

On site at the main train station, the officers then met a 38-year-old and her 45-year-old companion, who were said to have been pushed down the escalator, insulted and spat on by three unknown strangers.

The attackers kicked the man who was lying on the ground at Munich Central Station

According to the current state of the investigation, the group continued to kick the man who was lying on the ground - he suffered injuries to his face, which is why an ambulance was called.

The woman also suffered minor injuries to her legs when she fell on the escalator.

There had already been a verbal argument between the attacked and the group of three people on the train from Nuremberg.

As part of the immediately initiated search, a 16-year-old German citizen from the Freising district was temporarily arrested as a suspect on the cross platform at Munich Central Station.

The investigation into the two other people involved and the exact course of the crime is ongoing.

After all measures were completed, the 16-year-old was released in consultation with his legal guardians.
