The R5!
This iconic French model was born in 1972, like Gilles Vidal, the manufacturer's design boss.
The two fifty-somethings were not meant to meet.
And yet… The city car is once again the star of the Geneva Motor Show.
Like many old brands, the diamond firm gives in to a classic recipe, that of retro-marketing.
From Adidas to Burger King, there are countless companies that have found a new lease of life by activating the string of nostalgia.
The boss of Renault, Luca de Meo, has already successfully tested the exercise by relaunching the Fiat 500 with his previous employer.
For Renault, the challenge is twofold: to forget the sluggish end of the career of the Zoe, the hope of the electric car of the last decade, and to attract “old fashion” customers to electric vehicles.
