Zero sections scrutinized, unofficial data provided by the parties

5.49pm

Over 40% of the sections scrutinized in Sardinia, Truzzu always ahead

After more than 10 and a half hours from the start of the counting, the official data on the regional elections in Sardinia does not reach 50% of the sections examined and stops at 44.4% or 819 out of 1844. The still partial data sees the candidate's advantage reduced of the center-right Paolo Truzzu at 46.7%, while Alessandra Todde of the center-left recovers something and currently stands at 44.3%.

Always behind Renato Soru with his Sardinian Coalition at 8.1% and Lucia Chessa with Sardigna R-existe at 0.9%.

In the meantime, however, the results - always partial - for the individual lists are starting to emerge: the Democratic Party stands at 14.2% for now, followed by Fratelli d'Italia at 13.5%, Forza Italia at 8.2 , while the 5 Star Movement at 7.7% with the League which, however, currently stops at 4%.

5.47pm

Irritation of Todde staff, 'Region does not upload large city data'

There would be a "very specific communication strategy" behind the delay in uploading the data of the large cities, Cagliari, Sassari and Quartu Sant'Elena, into the Region's portal with the official results.

Some members of Alessandra Todde's staff are convinced of this.

5.26pm

Conte goes to Cagliari: 'Todde deserves our embrace'.

Schlein is also leaving

"I'm leaving, whatever happens I want to hug our Alessandra Todde".

Thus Giuseppe Conte intercepted by ANSA, leaving for Cagliari.

"There weren't many who imagined such an open challenge in Sardinia. It's a photo finish, the result is a close call and can be decided by a handful of votes. Whether you win or lose, however, it will still have been a extraordinary result and Alessandra Todde deserves the embrace of our entire community for the great work done."

The secretary of the Democratic Party Elly Schlein is also leaving for Cagliari to follow the counting of the elections.

4.51pm

Given that large cities are slow, Todde leads Cagliari-Sassari

Paolo Truzzu ahead by almost four points (47.4%) according to the Region's portal where the official electoral data for the regional elections in Sardinia are uploaded.

But the uploading of results is slow and, in many cases, several numbers relating to large cities are missing and which are struggling to reach the data processing centre.

The municipalities where the counting seems to proceed more quickly are faster.

On the institutional website of the municipality of Cagliari, with 108 sections scrutinized out of 173, the leader of the center-left coalition Alessandra Todde is still ahead with 53.41%, while Truzzu follows with 34.31%.

Renato Soru stops at 10.73% for now and Lucia Chessa at 1.55%.

In Sassari, again according to the data published on the municipality's website where 87 out of 140 sections have been uploaded, Todde is ahead with 53.62%, while Truzzu is at 36.18%.

Behind Soru with 9.56% and Chessa with 0.64%.

4.23pm

Almost 30% of the sections scrutinized, Truzzu ahead

Almost 30% of the sections scrutinized (28.3%) after 9 hours from the start of the ballot counting operations: Paolo Truzzu of the centre-right is ahead in the electoral competition for the regional elections in Sardinia.

The mayor of Cagliari and FDI exponent has so far obtained 47% of the preferences, while Alessandra Todde of the centre-left is stuck at 44%.

Between them a distance of 5 thousand votes, according to official data from the Sardinia Region.

Renato Soru reaches 8% while Lucia Chessa stops at 1%.

Data continues to arrive slowly.

3.40pm

Oristano and Olbia drive Truzzu's comeback, regional data still sees Truzzu ahead by 1%

While in Cagliari Alessandra Todde remains widely ahead of the gubernatorial candidate in Sardinia Paolo Truzzu, current mayor of the island's capital, in the cities of Olbia (historic stronghold of Forza Italia) and Oristano the result of the count seems to be driving the comeback of the Fdi exponent .

If the regional data stops at 436 sections scrutinized out of 1844 (23.6%) with Todde at 44.6% and Truzzu 46.5%, in Oristano (18 sections out of 36) the mayor of Cagliari is ahead with the 47.12% of the preferences obtained so far while the leader of the wide traction field Pd-M5s stops at 39.25%.

In Olbia the gap is smaller: Truzzu is at 51.6%, while Todde is at 42.37% Todde, when they were counted.

Obviously these are still very partial data which must be consolidated during the evening, while the uploading of the numbers onto the regional portal is very slow.

2.55pm

The gap between Todde and Truzzu widens in Sassari

In Sassari the gap is widening between the candidate of the broad Pd-M5s camp, Alessandra Todde, and that of the centre-right, Paolo Truzzu.

Renato Soru, leader of the Sardinian Coalition, has improved slightly compared to this morning's data, having received 1,792 preferences and is at 8.65%.

Lucia Chessa from Sardigna R-esiste has so far collected 114 votes, equal to 0.55%.

2.54pm

315 sections scrutinized, Truzzu at 46.1%, Todde at 45

When 315 sections out of 1844 were scrutinized (17.1%), the center-right leader Paolo Truzzu went ahead with 46.1% compared to Alessandra Todde of the center-left who stopped at 45% for now.

Also in this case, around 1000 votes gap between the two. Renato Soru remains behind with 7.9% and Lucia Chessa with 1%.

2.40pm

In Cagliari Todde ahead of Truzzu by almost 20%, over 40% of sections scrutinized in the city 71 out of 173

Alessandra Todde leads Paolo Truzzu by almost 20 points in her city Cagliari in the challenge for the regionals in Sardinia.

With over 40% of sections counted in the Sardinian capital (71 out of 173), the centre-left leader has obtained, so far, 53.43%, while the mayor of the city and leader of the centre-right coalition has achieved 34.28%.

The data, still very partial, were published on the institutional website of the Municipality of Cagliari.

Soru always below 10%

A thousand votes now separate Alessandra Todde of the centre-left from Paolo Truzzu of the centre-right in the vote for the regional elections in Sardinia.

Renato Soru, leader of the Sardinian Coalition, is at 7.7%, while Lucia Chessa of Sardigna R-exists at 0.9%.

The trend is confirmed, in the city of Cagliari, of the advantage of Alessandra Todde (wide field with Pd-M5s traction) over the mayor Paolo Truzzu, gubernatorial candidate for the centre-right.

According to a calculation carried out by Youtrend and published on same sections, i.e. 736 less than the votes received by Christian Solinas, outgoing centre-right governor, in 2019.

11.49am

In Olbia out of 5 sections Truzzu ahead with 52.3%, candidate from the Largo field Todde with 41.9%

Even in Olbia the counting operations are proceeding slowly.

At 11am, in the four sections scrutinized out of a total of 54, the centre-right candidate Paolo Truzzu was ahead with 3,600 votes (52.3%) while the broad candidate Alessandra Todde won 2,900 preferences (41.9%).

Renato Soru stands at 5%, Lucia Chessa at 0.7%.

Flying in the preferences of the councilor candidates are the names of Giuseppe Meloni of the Democratic Party, Angelo Cocciu candidate with Forza Italia and Giuseppe Fasolino on the list with the Sardinian Reformers.

Both Meloni and Cocciu are outgoing regional councilors, while Fasolino is regional councilor for Planning and Budget.

In some sections we are witnessing a real head-to-head between the candidates Truzzu and Todde, with a gap of just one vote.

In Arzachena the candidate Paolo Truzzu is currently leading.

11:29

Todde ahead in Sassari on 12 sections, at 52.4%

Renato Soru, head of the Sardinian Coalition, is clearly behind, stopping at 197 preferences, equal to 8.39%.

Ten votes for Lucia Chessa di Sardigna R-esiste (0.43%).

11.23am

Caution to Todde committee, 'partial numbers'

There is a sense of cautious optimism in the electoral headquarters, in Cagliari, of the candidate of the broad-based Pd-M5s camp, supported by ten lists, Alessandra Todde.

"The numbers are still partial, it is very early", is the statement taken from the five-star regional coordinator and senator Ettore Licheri, who does not want to go further despite the tendency, with only 10 sections scrutinized, in favor of Todde.

But on the ground floor of Via Dante 45, while the press room is filled with journalists from all the national newspapers, busy connecting with their respective news programs, the adrenaline rises as the official results slowly arrive from the polling stations.

10.36am

Ten sections out of 1844, Todde 53.7, Truzzu 40.3%.

Third Soru with 5%, Chessa 1%

The first data on the counting of ballots for the regional elections in Sardinia is starting to arrive.

According to official data provided by the Region, when 10 sections out of 1844 were scrutinized, Alessandra Todde was in the lead for the broad Pd-M5s traction camp which brings together 10 lists with 53.7%, followed by Paolo Truzzu of the centre-right (supported by nine lists) with 40.3%;

In the smallest town (81 inhabitants) Todde wins

When no section of the 1844 in Sardinia has yet been officially scrutinized, the unofficial figure emerges from the smallest Sardinian town, Baradili, 81 inhabitants in the province of Oristano.

The candidate of the broad-based M5s-Pd camp Alessandra Todde obtained 22 preferences, Paolo Truzzu of the center-right 19, Renato Soru with the Sardinian Coalition 3, 1 for Lucia Chessa of Sardigna R-esiste.

09:50

Deidda, in 5 years we have not governed brilliantly

"We pay for the fact that perhaps in 5 years we haven't governed exactly brilliantly. I'm always optimistic, the game is played until the last section. I expected this result in Cagliari, I knew it wouldn't be a walk in the park."

This was stated by Salvatore Deidda, Fdi deputy in connection with Rainews24, commenting on the first data, even if unofficial, which indicate Alessandra Todde is ahead in Cagliari.

09:37

Slowly stripped, Todde ahead in Cagliari.

Zero sections scrutinized, unofficial data provided by the parties

The counting of ballots in the regional elections in Sardinia is proceeding slowly.

Two and a half hours after the start of operations, no official data has yet been provided by the Region.

Meanwhile, data is emerging, but naturally unofficial, from the parties and their representatives at the polls.

According to data provided by the 5 Star Movement, the candidate of the M5s-Pd broad-based camp Alessandra Todde is ahead of Paolo Truzzu of the centre-right in four sections in Cagliari and one in Porto Torres.

Third Renato Soru with the Sardinian Coalition, last Lucia Chessa di Sardigna R-existe.
