Anger at the neighbors, packaged in a cheerful way: The rhyming complaint note in a Berlin stairwell causes amusement on Instagram.

Berlin – Sometimes anger can be transformed into creative energy.

And sometimes even unexpectedly gain a bit of internet fame.

This is what happened to the order-loving resident of an apartment building in Berlin-Friedrichshain.

He used his frustration with the chaos in the shared courtyard as an opportunity for an artistic intervention - and simply rhymed his complaint notice in the stairwell.

Much angrier was the note from a district neighbor, with which he apparently wanted to make a clear statement to his neighbor.

A photo of his creation has now caused a stir on Instagram.

The poetically packaged request to finally remove broken bicycles from the yard apparently hits a nerve in the Internet community.

And inspires users to sometimes make similarly creative comments.

A family recently hung a similarly original note in the stairwell and caused laughter online.

Regardless of the sometimes somewhat bumpy verses, some users join in with the cheerful rhyming: “Let the bins be green, yellow, blue or black // Just put everything in each one // and there's no room for your bulky waste / / just use the sidewalk as a replacement.” Other Berliners also seem to have little fun when it comes to bulky waste, as another angry note shows.

But the criticism is also partly lyrical, as one user proves: “This poet simply forgets what rhyme is and what meter is.”

Some Instagram users are less happy about rhymed complaint notices in Berlin

Others have less understanding of the author's broad interpretation of metrics and rhythm.

“Wow, that’s bad,” one person said bluntly.

“Tat and strong is not a pure rhyme,” criticizes another.

Another user assumes that the author did not write the work at all.

“ChatGPT?” he asks.

In any case, our editorial team recently wished the AI a happy birthday - and received some bizarre answers from the chatbot.

Most commentators just think the idea is good.

“Best neighbor complaint ever!” applauds one user.

“It’s cool” and “So good,” others chimed in.

But some are also concerned about the effectiveness of the measure.

One user therefore pleads: “If nothing happens despite your efforts, perhaps you should write to the landlord or manager.” Other complaint notes, however, are apparently less comprehensible for the Instagram community.
