Update from February 22nd, 2024:
Ellmau - After her unexpected “Bergdoktor” exit, Andrea Gerhard (40) will be seen for the last time in the popular ZDF series on February 22nd, 2024.
There was then a lot of speculation: Will Dominic Raacke (65) – playing the role of “Paul Richter” – also leave Ellmau?
Fans can now breathe a sigh of relief.
When asked by “t-online”, a broadcaster confirmed that Dominic Raacke and his role are not leaving the series at the moment.
“Dominic Raacke will be in front of the camera for 'Der Bergdoktor' in 2024,” said ZDF.
The stories for the new episodes are still in development, but the character Paul Richter seems to be planned.

On Thursday (February 15, 2024) “Der Bergdoktor” is finally back on ZDF – and in the new episode another series favorite could say goodbye forever.

There will be a wedding soon at “Der Berdoktor”: Paul proposes to Susanne
It was a shock for all fans: Linn actress Andrea Gerhard (40) is leaving “Der Bergdoktor” – and not entirely voluntarily.
“I still had so many ideas: In my head, Linn has been through thick and thin with Hans many times, they got married and in the future Linn will be the godmother of Lilli's first child.
“I really liked my role as Linn Kemper,” emphasizes the 40-year-old.
But now another exit could be imminent.

Because in the new “The Mountain Doctor” episode (“Life Paths” - Fifth Episode), Paul finally wants to ask Susanne if she wants to marry him.
After Linn ruined the romantic picnic, Paul decides to propose spontaneously this time.
When Linn is picked up by Hans for a romantic date in front of the inn, Susanne asks: “So, shall we keep our fingers crossed for them now?
It's good that we found each other." Paul seizes the romantic opportunity: "Stay exactly like that, I'll be back in a moment." Paul rushes inside, gets the ring and gets on his knees in front of Susanne.

But Susanne says no, as he tells Linn, devastated, when she returns from her appointment with Hans.
Linn is stunned and her foster daughter Sophia is also incredibly sad, as she tells Linn in private: “She said no.
She just said no.
Adults always have to destroy everything.”
Paul finally proposes to Susanne: But she says no.

Is this the end of Paul and Susanne or can they both ignore the rejected marriage proposal and just move on?
If not, that could not only mean the end of Paul's relationship, but also his time in Ellmau.
Because after Linn decides to go back to the north in episode six, nothing keeps Paul in Ellmau anymore.
It remains to be seen whether Dominic Raacke (65) will also leave “Der Bergdokor” after Andrea Gerhard.
But if you look on the website of his agency “Fischer & Partner”, it says that he starred in the ZDF series from 2021 to 2024.

Speaking of Bergdoktor’s departure: Andrea Gerhard is no longer part of the “Bergdoktor” crew.
The actress has already commented on the ZDF expulsion - now her TV colleague Ronja Forcher has also spoken out about Andrea Gerhard's “Bergdokor” exit.
