While the men competed in Stoa lifting, the women competed in the election for strong beer queen.
This and more ensured an “extremely good atmosphere” at the strong beer festival in Unterschleißheim.
Unterschleißheim – A new queen and an old muscle man have been chosen at the strong beer festival of the Unterschleißheim town band.
Two of the highlights of a lavish party in the multi-purpose hall, which was completely sold out.

The organizer, the city band, led the evening program and was also responsible for the overall organization this year.
Mayor Christoph Böck (SPD) had the honorable task of tapping the first barrel.
After just two taps it was said: “Ozapft is!” The free beer could be served.
The guests had already enjoyed one or two beers when Benjamin Koch, aka newspaper carrier Mahni, began the Lenten sermon.
He admonished the political high society.
“Everyone looks at them so hypocritically.
As if nothing had happened.
Like children when they stand in front of Santa Claus.” And then he really got started.
“Yeah, what can I say?
Nothing happens.
And what happens is the song, otherwise I won't be invited for a schnapps afterwards." Even at the risk of not getting any schnapps, he teased the "town hall inmates".
Twelve boys took part in the Stoa lifting.
They did everything they could to lift the 180 kilogram stone.
Like last year, the winner was Tobias Seethaler, who lifted the boulder up with ease.
180 kilos plus additional weight of another 20 kilos were enough to make the decision.
Even if just barely!
Seethaler insisted on heaving the stone up again with two additional weights as a freestyle exercise.
The strongest man in Unterschleißheim managed 220 kilos to the limit.
Completely sold out: 380 guests celebrate with the city band in the multi-purpose hall of the Johann Schmid School.

The women who wanted to become the strong beer queen didn't have to lift stones during the competitions, but instead had to lift beer mugs.
After the chance to drink as much as possible from the mug in ten seconds, they lifted the glass, or what was left of it, until only three candidates remained.
In the second round, the ladies had to milk a cow that had been set up.
During the subsequent nailing, the volunteer fire department donated a piece of maypole so that the two finalists could hammer the prepared nails into the trunk as quickly as possible.
Lara Wild from Munich was crowned strong beer queen, prevailing against her eleven competitors.
The town band is satisfied with the festival and was happy about the “extremely good atmosphere”.
