La Matinale TF 1”.
Journalist Bruce Toussaint, poached last October from BFMTV, has the mission to energize the morning slot with a mood and information program to rival France 2.
This new format, announced to everyone's surprise, is part of the strategy of the channel's new boss, Rodolphe Belmer, who is using major means to ensure that La Une remains leader in the French audiovisual landscape.
The flight of the public towards streaming platforms and the powerful audiences achieved by public channels have weakened the dominant position of TF 1 for several years. However, it needs this base to be able to finance all its programs.
