The Argentine National Team, the last world champion after winning Qatar 2022, will play two more friendlies in the United States.
It will be next June against Ecuador and Guatemala and will serve as preparation for the Copa América 2024 that will be played in that same country.
Soccer United Marketing, in agreement with the AFA, reported that Lionel Messi and company will face Ecuador on Sunday, June 9 at the historic Soldier Field stadium in the city of Chicago and on Friday the 14th they will play against Guatemala at the FedExField in Washington DC.
Advance ticket sales for American Express card customers will begin on Friday, March 1, while the general public will be open on Monday, March 4.
With these two matches, Argentina will have more filming ahead of the Copa América 2024 that will take place in the United States from June 20 to July 14.
"Additional match details, including television broadcast information and schedules, will be announced in the coming months," said Soccer United Marketing, the commercial arm of Major League Soccer in the United States and the preeminent soccer marketing company in North America.
In March too
After a few days of uncertainty following the cancellation of the tour that the Argentine national team was going to make in China next month, the AFA confirmed that the national team would play two friendlies in the United States and that the rivals would be El Salvador and Nigeria.
The team led by Lionel Scaloni will face the Salvadoran national team on Friday, March 22 at the Lincoln Financial Field stadium in Philadelphia, which is 81st in the FIFA ranking and last year finished last in its group in both the Gold as in the Nations League of the Confederation of North America, Central America and the Caribbean Football (Concacaf).
Four days later, on March 26 at the Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles, Argentina will face the Nigerian team, which is positioned 28th in the ranking of the mother house of ecumenical football and which was runner-up in the African Cup of Nations that ended less than two weeks ago.
The time of both meetings has not yet been confirmed.
