Two avalanches within a few hours near Kitzbühel.
A man was dragged 70 meters on a ski slope - later there was a car accident on the B182.
Kitzbühel – On the same day of the serious avalanche accident in France with four deaths, two avalanches broke out within a few hours on Sunday near Kitzbühel in Austria.
A 74-year-old German was hit by a snowboard.

The man was not injured in the avalanche, which, according to Kitzbühel police, was released around 11:15 a.m.
At this point, the 74-year-old was on tour skis on the closed ski route 33, as
kurier.at
reports.
Meanwhile, the avalanche released above him and swept the man around 70 meters away.
Most recently, a ski instructor in Tyrol rescued a child from an avalanche.
Two avalanches initially swept away a man near Kitzbühel and shortly afterwards caused a car accident.

However, the man was not buried by the masses of snow.
A witness observed the incident and alerted the emergency services.
The 74-year-old was then flown in a rescue helicopter to a hospital in Kitzbühel.
However, the man escaped the shock.

A little later, the car of a 31-year-old Austrian was hit by an avalanche on the road and swept away.
Around two hours after the first avalanche, at 1:30 p.m., another snow slab came loose in the community of Zieglstadt near Kitzbühel.
A 31-year-old was hit by the avalanche while driving on the B182 and ended up in oncoming traffic.
There he collided with a 32-year-old Austrian.
Both drivers remained uninjured.
