The IDF forces located a 10-kilometer underground tunnel system that connects the north and south of the Gaza Strip, and even passed under a hospital and a university. The forces gained operational control over the tunnels, and after investigating them, they destroyed large parts of the system.
The system connects the bordering Turkish hospital to the center camps. , to the Al-Sara' University building, in the south of Gaza City and reaches to the Zeyton area. This is an inter-division system, which is used for the movement of activists between different brigades in the Gaza Strip. The routes connect the Central Brigade to the Gaza City Brigade - among them the Nizirat, Zabra and Zeyton battalions.
