An animal protection association uncovers shocking conditions in a village butcher's shop in Eisleben.
The operator is apparently known to the authorities.

A complaint was also filed against the responsible official veterinarian.
What was going on in the company shouldn't have gone unnoticed.
After the allegations against the slaughterhouse, the Mansfeld-Südharz district initially banned slaughter.
The district confirmed that a report of animal welfare violations had been received.
Shortly afterwards, checks were carried out by employees of the veterinary office.

The animals that were still alive were placed with another animal owner.
A spokeswoman for the district explained that the evacuation and disposal of the dead animals had been ordered.
The district pointed out that the facts found were not known to the officials.

reported, the authorities are considering closing the business.
All the facts are currently being compiled by the state administration office, then the operator of the slaughterhouse can comment on the incident at a hearing.
The accused veterinarian also had to comment.

The operator does not appear to be unknown to the authorities.

research revealed that the man had already attracted attention in the past.
A complaint was filed against him in 2023 because of an unauthorized additive in a meat product.
In addition, structural defects in its operation and documentation deficiencies were discovered in 2021 and 2022.
“We are looking at around 20 dead pigs that have really decomposed beyond recognition.
Even I rarely see something like that,” said animal protection activist Mülln to the station about the current case.
A ban on keeping animals and the withdrawal of the license to slaughter and process animals are currently being examined against the operator.
In addition to pigs, sheep, horses, poultry and rabbits lived on the farm.
