In the series
Furies
, which will be broadcast from Friday March 1 on Netflix, Marina Foïs plays Selma, a feared guard responsible for maintaining order within Parisian organized crime.
This title of “fury”, which is inherited from mother to daughter, addresses in particular the question of transmission, a theme as dear to the character as to his interpreter.
“Leaving your place can be complicated for Selma.
I can understand that.
One day, I will no longer be able to play certain roles.
Soon I will no longer be able to play a pregnant woman.
We will have to accept that others will take my place,” confided the actress in an interview with the magazine
Télé 7 jours
, published in the February 26 issue.
And to admit, quite frankly: “At times, it’s scary.
It’s called getting old, actually.”
“We let go of tons of things”
If she is lucid about the future of her career, however, there is no question for the fifty-year-old actress of trying to stop the passage of time nor of chasing eternal youth.
“It’s great for a lot of aspects, because we let go of tons of things.
I wouldn't go back for anything in the world, even if there are wrinkles that I don't like!”, she concludes with honesty.
The stars own their wrinkles
