Mahmoud Moti Hassana, a 32-year-old Palestinian from the Bethlehem area, was shot dead today (Tuesday) by a security guard after he allegedly tried to penetrate the security fence from the Judea and Samaria territories in the Al-Montar area into the city of Jerusalem. Hassana, who was staying illegally in Israel , was seen trying to cross the fence - and was shot by a security guard who carried out a suspicious arrest procedure against him.
Hassana was injured by the shooting and later his death was determined by medical officials who were called to the scene.
The police said that the incident will be investigated.

The Israel Police stated: "A short time ago, a suspected illegal resident was observed by the security forces as he tried to penetrate the security fence from the Judea and Samaria territories in the Al Muntar area into Jerusalem.
A soldier carried out a procedure for arresting a suspect, at the end of which he shot the suspect in the face.
The suspect was injured by the shooting and later pronounced dead by medical officials. The incident will be investigated."
