The two young women Kelsey C. (22) and Eva L. (21) were pushed down a slope, the latter did not survive the 50 meter deep fall.

Suspicion quickly fell on 30-year-old American Troy Philip B., against whom murder charges were brought.

The suspect was even recorded on video shortly after the crime.

In the trial at the Kempten regional court he initially made a confession, but now presented the incident completely differently.

The defendant claims he almost became a victim himself

Bild

The defendant was attacked by the two women.

“He assumed they were trying to push him down the slope.

He wrestled with both of them,” said investigating judge Andreas K., describing the event.

However, according to Bild,

the survivor explained the incident

as follows: The alleged perpetrator is said to have wanted to show the two women a special vantage point above the Marienbrücke near Neuschwanstein Castle.

"I was leading the way, then I heard Eva screaming, 'Kelsey, call 911!'

“The attacker sat on top of her and choked her with both hands,” said the young woman.
