After tanks, missiles and planes, a new taboo has just been broken.
At the end of a conference which brought together around twenty Western leaders at the Élysée on Monday to reaffirm their support for Ukraine, Emmanuel Macron affirmed that sending Western troops on the ground could not be excluded.
“Let us have the humility to note that we have often been 6 to 12 months late.
This was the objective of this evening's discussion: everything is possible if it is useful to achieve our objective
.
The French president reaffirmed this objective:
“We will do everything necessary to ensure that Russia cannot win this war
. ”
For a long time, Emmanuel Macron was considered one of the weak links in support for Ukraine within Europe.
