The round-the-world sailing race in Ultim opened its prize list this Tuesday with the victory of Charles Caudrelier.
The skipper of Edmond de Rothschild won the race in 50 days 19 hours 7 minutes and 42 seconds, crossing the finish line at 8:37 a.m. under a cloudy sky offering even a few rays of sunshine after days of rain in Brest.
Escorted by handfuls of boats, the sailor, arms raised on the tip of his bow, celebrated his victory in front of the cameras.
