King Harald of Norway has been ailing for a long time.
Now the monarch is again in a clinic, as the palace announced.
Malaysia – Only on February 21st did King Harald of Norway celebrate his 87th birthday.
The monarch has been struggling with his health for some time.
At the beginning of February he was treated for a respiratory infection and had to cancel several appointments.
Now the Norwegian palace is again announcing worrying news.
Norwegian Palace announces: King Harald has been hospitalized in Malaysia
Due to his illnesses, there has been speculation several times as to whether King Harald will soon abdicate and hand over the scepter to Haakon (50).
But that doesn't seem to be an option for the 87-year-old.
But now there is more shocking news: King Harald was hospitalized in the middle of his vacation in Malaysia.
“The King is being well cared for by both Malaysian and Norwegian medical staff,” the Norwegian palace wrote in a press release, according to the

agency .

to the Norwegian newspaper
VG : “The king had already had several infections and was taken directly to the Rikshospitalet and treated with antibiotics.
He's gotten older, so you have to be careful." The aim of the admission is to prevent the infection from turning into sepsis.
During his hospital stay: Crown Prince Haakon represents King Harald of Norway
King Harald is currently represented by Crown Prince Haakon anyway.
He will hold the position until March 6th and attend the appointments of the royal family.
King Harald is supposed to return to office from March 7th – should his health allow it.
After all, the monarch would have to hold a state council on March 8th.

King Harald is not the only one in the Norwegian royal family who is struggling with his health.
Haakon's wife Mette-Marit (50) also suffers from a chronic lung disease - pulmonary fibrosis.
Most recently, Crown Prince Haakon revealed how bad she actually is.
