This Monday, February 26, two CRS motorcyclists assigned to the South Zonal Motorcycle Unit of Marseille rescued a woman who was trying to end her life by jumping from a bridge in Martigues (Bouches-du-Rhône), indicates to Le

The events occurred along the Martigues viaduct, a motorway bridge crossing the Caronte canal and culminating at a height of 45 meters.
According to a police source, the two CRS were patrolling the area as part of a security mission, when they spotted a vehicle stopped on the right lane of the viaduct and turned around.
“We stopped thinking it was a collision.
It was when we got off the motorcycles that we saw a woman starting to climb over the guardrail
,” explains this source.
The motorist out of danger
The two bikers did not hesitate for a second and rushed towards the motorist, who was preparing to jump from the bridge to end his life.
The latter was recovered at the last minute by the police as she crossed the barricade which separated her from the void.
“She struggled, but we managed to get her to safety and retrieve the keys to her vehicle before help arrived
,” summarizes this source.
The motorist, shocked and evoking a state of depression, was taken care of by the firefighters in order to be evacuated out of danger.
