Cas Cassa Depositi e Prestiti ranks first worldwide in the Morningstar Sustainalytics "ESG Risk Rating" ranking in the reference sectors "Banks" (first out of 1,036 companies) and "Development Banks" (first out of 101 companies), and third among the 15,860 companies overall assessed by Sustainalytics across all sectors.
At the end of the evaluation process, Cdp obtained an "ESG Risk Rating" of 4.4 from Sustainalytics, an improvement of almost 10 points compared to the previous 13.8 assigned in October 2022. This performance thus allows Cdp to place itself in the "Negligible" ESG risk category ", the best within the agency's rating scale.
The result, we read in a note, was driven by several factors, including: the management of ESG risks at a corporate governance level, the strong integration of the corporate sustainability strategy within the core business, the role in sustainable finance and from the adoption of ESG criteria for the evaluation and monitoring of its financing and investment activities.
The initiatives adopted to promote the development of human capital also in terms of diversity, equity and inclusion and the management of corporate ethical issues were also recognized by the agency.
