There's a lot to do, so let's tackle it: At the moment, the toilet facilities construction site still looks like a lot of work.

At the moment it is quiet in the Eisenhofen inn, which has been without an innkeeper since the end of November.

But now the Traditions and Maypole Association wants to bring momentum back into the house.

Eisenhofen – “We want to strengthen our community in the village by dedicating our energy to maintaining the meeting place.

The preservation of the inn is a central element for village life,” emphasizes Markus Obermann, the chairman of the association.

Above all, the plan from the outset was to thoroughly renovate the building inside and out.

A lot has already been put in place: the terrace was expanded, large parts of the inn were renovated, the courtyard was paved, a covered beer garden was created and the building was connected to the natural gas pipeline.

The next step will now be to renovate the sanitary facilities.

A new, modern, barrier-free toilet (including changing table) is to be created.

This improves accessibility and enables participation in community events for everyone – including people with disabilities.

The problem is once again finances.

The association is mainly supported by membership fees and donations.

Important and necessary measures to preserve the inn therefore meant an enormous financial burden, says Markus Obermann.

That's why the association started a fundraising campaign in collaboration with the Volksbank-Raiffeisenbank.

The financial institution offers an opportunity for crowdfunding.

The money will be used directly to cover the construction costs of the barrier-free toilet.

In the event of overfinancing, this additional money will also be used to modernize the building and to generally promote customs, as stated in the official VR Bank document.

The project is expected to cost 6,000 euros.

The fundraiser is scheduled until March 31st.

The members want to begin the renovation immediately afterwards.

Of course the club would be happy to have as many supporters as possible.
