The Kramerwirt has been owned by the Widmann family for five generations.
Rudolf Widmann makes it clear that this will remain the case and that the economy will continue to operate as we know it.

The Kramerwirt on Salzstrasse in Germering remains a Bavarian business.
With this clear message, Rudolf Widmann, who owns the company and his sons, counters rumors to the contrary.
Germering – Since 1875, people have been coming to the Kramerwirt in Unterpfaffenhofen and enjoying the beer and good home-style food.
It is owned by the Widmann family in the fifth generation.
The Kramerwirt is a regular meeting place for several clubs such as the Friends of Homeland Care and, above all, many young people between the ages of 20 and 30 are regular guests.
This makes it all the more incomprehensible for Rudolf Widmann what has been brewing in the rumor mill for a few weeks.
There is talk of sale, either of closure or of apartments being built there.
We also heard about the Widmann family's financial difficulties.
“That was sometimes dishonorable,” says Widmann.
Owner denies rumors
He doesn't want to talk about outrage, but the lack of understanding about these claims that have been put out into the world is clearly noticeable.
He himself didn't hear the rumors.
Widmann found out about this from friends and acquaintances.
According to Widmann, people kept saying, “Pay more attention to what is being said about you.”
He paid attention and reacted.
On the one hand, with a post on Facebook, where he wrote: “The Kramerwirt will remain a traditional restaurant with a beer garden in the future.”
On the other hand, he informed his business partners and asked them to speak personally.
Also at the table was the Löwenbräu brewery, whose beer has been served at the Kramerwirt for 92 years and which the Widmanns leased to in 1990.
“It was and is always a good collaboration,” says Widmann.
Clear message
Landlord Ivan Oslakovic and his team were also taken into their confidence.
“To counteract any uncertainty that such rumors can cause among the staff.” The clear message to the brewery and the landlord was: There is no truth to the rumors.
It continues with the Kramerwirt.
Especially since Widmann is more than satisfied with the innkeepers, who have been pampering their guests with Bavarian-Croatian dishes for five years now.
“A family that sticks together and gets involved.”
In addition, Oslakovic's team handles the restaurant entrusted to him and its equipment responsibly.
Even during the Corona pandemic, the innkeepers always made sure that the guest rooms and kitchen remained operational.
Widmann, who sits on the city council for the CSU, suspects that the pandemic is at least partially a basis for the rumors to arise.
Many businesses would have had to close at that time, including many restaurants.
“Perhaps people were afraid that a piece of tradition in Unterpfaffenhofen would be lost.
Or that they no longer have their second living room.”

The 150th anniversary celebrations are coming up in 2025
Even for Widmann, the Kramerwirt was and is a piece of home and a part of his personal history.
He lived above the Kramerwirt until he was 28.
He also repeatedly helped out in the tavern.
“There’s a lot of passion behind it,” says Widmann.
Five years ago, Widmann's mother transferred the business to him and his sons Gregor and Johannes.
The parents had already withdrawn from day-to-day business in 1990 for health reasons.
Widmann is certain that the 150th anniversary will be celebrated in 2025.
We don't yet know how.
“But it will be done in a dignified manner,” promises Rudolf Widmann.
As far as the rumors are concerned, he sees the matter straightened out with his post on Facebook.
He doesn't want to take any further action for now, but he also says: "If anything happens again, we will report it."
