The crime of a 71-year-old man, who was found
hanged and with his face and hands bloody
inside his house, generates commotion in a country in
Pilar
.
In principle, the Police rule out that he was murdered for robbery purposes: the locks were not forced, the house had no signs of violence and the valuables were intact.
The only thing missing was the victim's cell phone.
Furthermore, the testimony of an employee states that the night before the crime the man received a visitor at his home.
Now they are trying to determine who he was and if he has any connection to his death.
The main hypothesis is oriented towards homicide: the autopsy revealed
several injuries to his neck
and it has already been ruled out that it was a natural death.
The incident, which became known in the last few hours, took place last Friday, when the piano teacher with whom he took classes found
Roberto Eduardo Wolfenson Band
lying in one of the rooms of his house located in the La Delfina neighborhood, in the town of Presidente Derqui.
There was blood on his face and hands.
Investigative sources indicated that due to the scene they found,
"the victim had signs of wanting to defend himself

Wolfenson lived in that house with his wife, who was absent at the time of the crime.

At first, it was thought that it could be a "natural death" since Wolfenson suffered from heart problems.
But, the result of the autopsy made it clear that
the man had been murdered
.
Personnel from the 2nd Pilar police station arrived at the scene, after a call from the neighborhood security, which warned about "a deceased person in a house."
The reconstruction of the case
The progress of the investigation determined that last Friday, around 5:00 p.m., a piano teacher with whom the Wolfenson Band usually took classes arrived in the neighborhood, but that the retiree did not respond to the calls.
Given the situation, security personnel contacted the homeowner's wife to alert her about the absence.
Thus, the woman authorized the place's security personnel to enter with the piano teacher and a trusted neighbor, who came across the horrible scene.
The woman was at that time at the house of one of her daughters in the Villa Devoto neighborhood, and arrived around 6:00 p.m., when the doctors from a private emergency company had already determined her husband's death.
A forensic doctor who examined the body established, based on the information provided by Wolfenson Band's wife that her husband had heart problems, that death had occurred due to a myocardial infarction because he suffered from arrhythmias.
However, despite the information provided, prosecutor Andrés Quintana, from the Functional Instruction Unit (UFI) 3 of Pilar, ordered the transfer of the body for an autopsy.
And the preliminary result he received on Saturday morning caused a turn in the investigation: the man had been murdered by hanging.
"Death occurred by hanging, but he also had a cut on the back of his head, internal bruising from the hanging and signs of defense on his hands and arms," said an investigative source.
The autopsy determined that the victim was murdered on Friday,
after being hanged with a thin noose
, which left a groove.
"It could be a scam," they revealed.
In the complete survey of the home, it was established that there were no signs of violence in any of the entrances to the house and that all the rooms were in order and with all valuable objects in their place.
"The only missing thing that could be established was
the deceased man's cell phone
. In the house there was a safe that had the money inside intact," explained the investigator, who added that prosecutor Germán Camafreita, head of the UFI 3, returned the same Saturday and took charge of the investigation.
The progress of research
In the last few hours, prosecutor Camafreita ordered a survey of security cameras from neighboring houses and the guard, as well as an analysis of the income and expenses of the neighborhood to try to identify the murderer.
Work also began on the communications that the man may have made before being murdered and reports were requested from telephone companies.
“In the house there was a safe with money, some gold items and high-end watches.
They didn't touch any of that
," one of Wolfenson's sons confirmed in his testimony.
The testimony of a domestic employee who was the last person to see Wolfenson Band alive, the Thursday before leaving, was key.
The man had asked her to "leave the guest room in order" because
she was going to receive a visitor
.
She never knew who it was.
The body of the 71-year-old man was found in the guest room.
And the police asked the employee about a sheet that was found inside the washing machine already washed.
"When I left there was nothing in the washing machine
," was the employee's blunt response.
The bedding was seized and the Scientific Police are searching for the results returned by the laboratory.
