Simply leaving your dog's waste lying around can be expensive in Ismaning.
The community reminds owners that penalties can be imposed for this.
Ismaning - If you don't clean up your dog's waste, you can be asked to pay in Ismaning.
Owners face a fine of up to 500 euros.
The municipality is now pointing this out again after there have been repeated complaints about dog poop being left lying around.
“Dogs often leave dog waste on sidewalks, playgrounds and green spaces, and some of you, dear dog owners, simply ignore it and move on,” says a press release.
“What your dog leaves behind, depending on the size and type of food, is not only unaesthetic, sometimes very repulsive, but also dangerous.” On top of that, it is forbidden.
According to the town hall, in accordance with the municipal “Ordinance on keeping public streets clean”, it is generally forbidden to contaminate public streets, paths or squares, including sidewalks and cycle paths and road ditches, embankments as well as side, edge and green strips, with animals let.
Anyone who fails to comply with this can be fined up to 500 euros in accordance with legal regulations.
