Federal Interior Minister Nancy Faeser (SPD) also sees the arrest of the former RAF terrorist Daniela Klette as an important signal to the victims of the Red Army Faction's actions.
“This successful search is the result of decades of tireless investigative work.
The constitutional state has shown its persistence and staying power.
Nobody should feel safe underground,” Faeser was quoted as saying in a statement from her ministry on Tuesday.
Berlin - The crimes of the Red Army Faction (RAF) represent “unprecedented to this day the dangers of left-wing extremism and left-wing terrorism in the Federal Republic of Germany.
With the arrest of the 65-year-old Klette in Berlin, further criminal investigation of the crimes will be possible.
“We also owe this clarification to the families of the RAF victims,” continued Faeser.
