The Wolfratshausen FDP brings politics directly into the living room.

They want to strengthen proximity to citizens with monthly online get-togethers.

Wolfratshausen

- In June 2023, the Wolfratshausen city council decided to bring its meetings into citizens' living rooms via livestream.

The initiative came from FDP city councilor Dr.

Patrick Lechner.

The implementation is still a long time coming.

Nevertheless, there is now a further push towards digital citizen proximity.

Every month, the Wolfratshauser FDP organizes a “digital, local political half-hour”, a regular table counterpart on the internet.

FDP district leader: “Real dialogue is often too brief”

“There is too much discussion about each other rather than with each other,” stated Lechner in a press interview.

FDP district chairman Simon Roloff agrees.

“Real dialogue is often too brief.” With the citizens’ consultation, the two want to do their part to create a more constructive local political climate.

“Low-threshold political participation and good compatibility with everyday life is how we can reach out to people.” The new online event series of the Wolfratshausen FDP is planned once a month on Tuesday of the week - after the city council meeting.

“And everyone is welcome, not just party members,” affirm the two liberals.

"We do not bite."

They want to keep the digital regulars' table counterpart short and sweet, between 15 and a maximum of 30 minutes long.

Lechner is thinking about the city council's most recent meeting on Tuesday (we reported).

“The citizens present expected more from the three and a half hours,” he suspects.

Especially on the subject of parking garages.

First focus: The parking situation in the city center

Unsurprisingly, the inner-city parking situation will be the focus of the first digital meeting.

Lechner: “There are no prohibitions on thinking.” And apart from the debriefing of the most recent city council meeting, there are no taboos in terms of content.

The lack of cycle paths would also find room for discussion, as would the redesign of the western bank of the Loisach.

District chairman Roloff: “We want to get local politics out of the backroom.”

Info:

The “digital, local political half hour” will take place on Tuesday, February 27th, at 8 p.m.

An internet-capable cell phone or laptop is required.
