In a new survey, the Greens overtake the SPD.
The Union can continue to assert itself.
The parties are hardly believed to have competence.
Berlin - The SPD and the Greens swap the top spot among the traffic light parties in a federal election survey published on Tuesday (February 27): the SPD falls to 14 percent (-1 percentage point), while the Greens are in the broadcaster's new "trend barometer".

improve by one point to 15 percent.
The other parties did not change their results.
The Union parties CDU and CSU are still in first place in the Forsa Institute's survey series with 30 percent, the AfD is at 17 percent.
This seems to be the end of the right-wing populist poll crash after
Correctiv's
research into a meeting with right-wing extremists.
In December, the AfD recorded an all-time high of 23 percent.
While the FDP is just above the five percent threshold for the second time with five percent after a brief slide in the weekly Sunday question series, the Left and the Free Voters each reach three percent.
According to the Forsa polls, the BSW is currently at four percent - another institute recently rated Sahra Wagenknecht's project noticeably higher.
The other parties are at nine percent in the current survey.

Survey clap for all parties: Hardly any trust in parties - FDP particularly low
The situation also hardly changes when it comes to the preferences between Scholz, Merz and Habeck as possible candidates for chancellor.
Olaf Scholz from the SPD is the least popular in the “Trend Barometer” with 15 percent (+1), followed by Robert Habeck from the Greens with an unchanged 18 percent and CDU leader Friedrich Merz with 25 percent (+1).
In the variant with Scholz, Merz and Baerbock, Scholz and Annalena Baerbock achieved 18 percent, while Merz achieved 27 percent in the survey.
Confidence in the political competence of the governing parties remains low.
This can already be seen in the major losses of the SPD and FDP compared to the 2021 federal election.
However, according to the survey results, 58 percent of those surveyed did not believe that any party could solve the problems in Germany.
At the beginning of February the value was still 61 percent.
This means that trust in politics has recently increased at least slightly.
The FDP performed worst: only one percent of those surveyed believed it had the necessary competence.
The Greens were at eight percent, while the SPD and AfD were tied at seven percent.
Two percent of those surveyed saw other parties as capable.

The Ukraine war continued to preoccupy those surveyed.
51 percent of them saw the war in Ukraine as the most important topic on the survey's radar.
At the end of January, the percentage of respondents was only about half as large (27 percent).
The work of the federal government also remains a relevant problem area (35 percent), as does the economic situation at 25 percent.
The Middle East conflict was particularly important for 21 percent, while 10 percent cited the death of Russian opposition politician Alexei Navalny as their main concern.
The CDU and Merz continue to enjoy the greatest popularity.
The poll numbers continue to look bad for the traffic light parties.

There was also a rather poor survey report for the federal government in the cannabis debate.
While in August 52 percent were against cannabis legalization and 44 percent were in favor, in this survey it was 55 percent against and 43 percent in favor of legalizing possession and mining, as would be possible under the new cannabis law.
The partial legalization, which is to be discussed in the Federal Council on March 22nd, would allow adults to carry up to 25 grams of cannabis.
The law also sets out excise taxes, trade and consumption guidelines, although detailed questions are still unclear.
