Two minors, ages 11 and 15, found
their mother and boyfriend dead inside their house
in Monte Grande this Monday.
The woman had been stabbed to death, while the man was found hanged.
The case, according to police sources, is being investigated as “femicide followed by suicide.”
The incident was discovered in the morning hours inside a property located on 700 Rauch Street, in the town belonging to the Esteban Echeverría district, southwest of Greater Buenos Aires.
The woman was identified as Analía Celeste Oliva, 45, while her boyfriend was Federico Espinoza, 43. According to the minors,
the previous night there was an argument
between them.
As the sources explained, it was Oliva's children who
first woke up to find Espinoza hanged
on the landing of the external staircase that connects the ground floor with the upper part of the house.
After that, they went to the upper floor where they found
their mother in the room, dead from several stab wounds
and lying next to a knife with blood stains.
Immediately, both children went to a neighbor's house, from where they notified the police and an ambulance.
A few minutes later, both officers from the 1st police station arrived at the scene.

When interviewed by the uniformed officers, the boys reported that their mother and Espinoza were a couple, although they clarified that the man did not live with them.
"The boys said that last night, before going to sleep, they heard their mother and her boyfriend arguing. Everything indicates that it was a
femicide followed by suicide
," confided a police chief who participates in the investigation.
The file was left in the hands of prosecutor Vanesa González, in charge of the Functional Instruction Unit (UFI) specialized in Gender Violence of Esteban Echeverría, belonging to the Judicial Department of Lomas de Zamora.
According to the record of cases published by Télam based on police and judicial sources, this is the 51st femicide so far this year in all of Argentina.
Meanwhile, it is the sixth case in which the alleged femicide committed suicide after committing the crime, always according to these statistics.
