Pop star Howard Carpendale looked back on a special concert in Hamburg on Instagram.
There was a well-known football coach in the audience that evening.
Hamburg – Even stars are fans of stars: Howard Carpendale (78) and a football celebrity, who obviously respect each other very much, just proved this.
The singer posted pictures on Instagram from his last concert in Hamburg, where a well-known athlete was also a guest.
HSV coach at Howard Carpendale: Steffen Baumgart is a fan of the pop star
When Howard Carpendale, who has even been mistaken for a Hollywood star, appears in Hamburg, Hamburger SV stars also do the honors every now and then - including football coach Steffen Baumgart (52).
The former player has been head coach of HSV, which currently plays in the 2nd Bundesliga, since February 2024.
In his private life, the tough coach is apparently a soft guy with a penchant for hits and in the past he also attended a concert by Howard Carpendale at the Barclays Arena.
After the concert, the two stars posed for a photo, which the singer now posted on his Instagram channel.
He used the post to congratulate the athlete on his new position: “Dear Steffen, congratulations on the successful premiere with your new club HSV.
This certainly pleases my manager Lars Kegel from Hamburg.
I also like to think back to your visit to my last concert at the Barclays Arena.
Maybe you really got to know the beautiful city and its people there.
And maybe this year in May, when I’m in Hamburg, you’ll feel like watching the new show again.”
Howard Carpendale at HSV: He wants to return the favor soon
In the post on Howard Carpendale's Instagram account, Steffen Baumgart promptly thanks him for the congratulations and assures him that he would be happy to come to the next concert.
“We’re very happy to come and you can come to a game.” Carpendale likes the idea.
He replies in the comments: “Great – I’m happy about that.
And I’m coming to a game at your HSV.”
Under the motto “LET'S DO IT AGAIN!
Howard Carpendale - The Tour 2024” Howard Carpendale will be on stage again next May.
Performances are planned in Leipzig (May 15th), Munich (May 18th), Cologne (May 24th) and Hamburg (May 29th), among others.
By the way: Life wasn't always easy for Howard Carpendale.
